A Texas instructor once praised as her locale’s “Educator of the Year” purportedly performed oral sex on an understudy in a homeroom, specialists said.
Randi Chaverria, a 36-year-old family and buyer science instructor at Round Rock High School, was captured Tuesday after an understudy told police she had performed oral on him twice in October, as indicated by a sworn statement acquired by KVUE.
Instant messages sent between the understudy and Chaverria – who was named the Secondary Teacher of the Year by the school region in May – seem, by all accounts, to be steady with the teenager’s allegations, specialists said.
Guardians were advised in an email not long ago that Chaverria had an inappropriate association with an understudy, provoking to take individual leave. She later left her situation on Nov. 19, the station reports.
Round Rock High School Principal Matt Groff told guardians that Chaverria had passed a state individual verification before being enlisted – and had strong earlier business checks, KXAN detailed.
