A seven-year-old child has been arrested and charged with first degree arson after “intentionally” setting fire to their family home in Jackson County, West Virginia, on Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday morning, the child started the fire while their parents were sleeping inside the home in Jackson County, West Virginia.
Groups answered at about early afternoon to reports of a house fire in the Elizabeth region.
According to Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal Robert Bailey, the fire resulted in two minor burn injuries, but everyone survived.


A 7-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with first-degree arson for intentionally burning down the family’s home.
The juvenile was taken into custody Wednesday evening following the fire.
The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office is researching the fire and said no additional data will be delivered at this point because of the delicate idea of the case.
In West Virginia, children can face charges through citation or criminal complaint.
